The growth of golf for the physically challenged population has been tremendous. The NAGA "First Swing" seminars and EAGA's "Learn to Golf" Clinics have been responsible for a good part of this growth. In the East Region, 23 "First Swing" and 26 "Learn to Golf" events have been planned. The NAGA and EAGA can always use the help of our EAGA members to assist with golf instruction and support at our clinics. It certainly means a lot when other disabled golfers are available to help with instruction and advice. We also encourage and appreciate help from our PGA, LPGA, USGTF friends at our clinics. Please contact the Clinic Director to see if you can help. PGA professionals who attend 2 day "First Swing" clinics receive 12 CE. hours, and those who attend a 1 day "First Swing" clinic receive 6 CE hours. LPGA Professionals will receive recert. or certification credits. The American Therapeutic Recreation Association (ATRA) has approved the "First Swing" Program for CTRS CEU credits. EAGA will handle CEU application for each event.
